How to release STRESS in seconds

  • Sit or lie comfortably
  • Close your eyes
  • Float up and out of your body
  • See yourself from outside your own body
  • Now become aware of your timeline
  • Where is your past?
  • Where is your future?
  • Now float up, up, up above your timeline
  • Continue to float until your entire timeline is about a metre long
  • You cannot see anything distinguishable about your timeline
  • Take a deep breath and see if you feel more relaxed
  • If not, continue to float up, up, up…
  • Float until your entire timeline is a dot below you.
  • Take another deep breath and enjoy the feelings of being removed from the problem
  • You might even realise that the problem isn’t as big as you initially thought
  • When you are ready float back to NOW
  • Float back to the present and hover above your body
  • Take a deep breath and float back into your body and come back to awareness
  • Take another deep breath before opening your eyes

This technique works because the distance and simplicity allows you to disassociate from the problem. As soon as we disassociate from an event we become less emotionally involved and more relaxed.
