Aromatherapy
The use of selected fragrant substances in lotions and inhalants in an effort to affect mood and promote health.
Have you ever smelled something and then found yourself a million miles away in another time and place? This is the magic of aromatherapy. It can create any mood you want and move you from being stressed to relaxed in only moments.
I am not qualified enough on this subject to tell you all about it but I can tell you what I know and how it benefits me:
I use lavender when I need to feel relaxed. I also burn it in an oil burner when I have a client and we are to do relaxation work.
I combine lavender and chamomile in a pillow spray that allows me to sleep comfortably.
Vanilla is my favourite scent and fills me with feelings of well being and happiness.
I use orange and cypress to liven myself up and increase my energy levels.
Olbas oil works wonders for my stuffy nose.
Tea Tree oil is wonderful for my skin. I use it on any spots and sores.
I love to bath in Ylang Ylang and Patchouli.
I also put a few drops of vanilla on a tissue and place in my vacuum. Leaves my house smelling clean and loving.
